Peace, mercy and blessings of God.
In this post, there is a detailed explanation of how the equation is for all medical professions that want to work in the United Arab Emirates.
In the UAE, there are three medical bodies:
Ministry of Health MOH:
which covers only the northern emirates, which are "Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Fujairah".
Abu Dhabi Department of Health (DOH):
covers the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the city of Al Ain.
Dubai Health Authority (DHA):
covers the Emirate of Dubai.
General requirements for licensing:
1. Educational qualifications "Bachelor + Major".
2. Professional Experience:
All physicians and dentists are required to successfully complete one year (the internship year) after graduation.
For physicians and dentists who have no evidence of completion of training; An additional two years of experience is required.
3. A license to practice the profession from the country of origin or the country of residence “the same country as another experience”.
4. Certificate of good conduct:
It must not exceed six (6) months from the date of its issuance.
Issued by the health regulatory authority in the mother country or the country of residence “other country of employment”.
5. Verification of the validity of the documents submitted:
Documents required for licensing must be verified directly from the original source or primary source.
These documents include but are not limited to: educational qualification(s), experience certificate(s), professional license(s) and/or any other documents deemed necessary by the bodies.
6. Evaluation:
Healthcare professionals are required to pass the Authority's assessment in order to obtain a professional license in the UAE.
I wish you well
