The world has been a wonderful and amazing place for a very long time, it's definitely good to get out there and remind yourself of that every now and then. The more I see the more I become convinced that we are not the pinnacle of civilization, we are just living through one manifestation of the human ego. I wonder if in a thousand years people will look at the ruins of our cities and stand in awe or if our age will have just become dust in the wind.

If you ever wondered whether or not to travel to some far flung destination with your little kids just do it. Yeah you might have to suck it up and deal with 14 hours of hellish travel to get there and when you do they may have to sit on a bus with no seat belt but chilling out in a little fishing village in Cambodia watching them make new friends it's pretty awesome.
