When a cruise ship is launched, it marks the completion of a vessel built entirely from ground up, delivered to a fixed date.
Within the final phase of the shipbuilding timeline, we install the sculptural elements we have fabricated. By this stage the environment is largely complete, finishes are in place, access is controlled, and schedules are tightly constrained. Every element must be sequenced and handled with precision under strict marine protocols.
For the two stainless steel turtles at the Pearl Cafe aboard Royal Caribbean’s Star of the Seas, installation involved manoeuvring each part into position and aligning them within the space. Due to their scale, the turtles were delivered in multiple parts, with connections resolved on site and surfaces protected during assembly. The installation transformed these components into a cohesive sculptural form, fully integrated within a live marine environment 🚢🔧
