Tonight at MENA Women Product Managers Guild,
A room full of women.
A full day of work behind us.
Yet everyone showed up, curious, energized, ready to learn AI.
We hosted our AI Spotlight Session, where two of our very own guild members shared how they’re actively building and shipping AI products in the real world, the wins, the trade-offs, and the messy nuances in between.
And honestly, the energy was powerful.
The thirst to learn is real. The challenges are real. The curiosity and willingness to adapt? Even stronger.
Key points discussed
• Turning AI ideas into real, measurable business impact.
• Choosing the right use cases instead of forcing AI everywhere.
• Navigating data, security, and stakeholder complexity in enterprise environment.
The discussion explored how product managers navigate difficult decisions and trade-offs in AI products, identify and mitigate risks before they impact users or the business, and decide what should and should not be built with AI.
There was strong interest in the core competencies PMs need when building on existing LLMs, including evaluating performance and defining the right metrics.
Key takeaways:
✨ Snehal Raikar reminded us to not use AI for problems that simple automation can solve and how to get a head-start in your AI learning journey by exploring free courses and starting with basics first.
✨ Beata Matras encouraged using AI in day-to-day work and staying deeply passionate not because it is trending but a genuine desire to learn , experimenting often, and pairing tech skills with strong human judgement to truly stand out as a PM
We as a community loved the invaluable resources shared that can be the starting point to an AI forward career ahead.
Grateful for such an honest, practical, and inspiring conversation.
Huge thank you to our amazing speakers, Snehal Raikar and Beata Matras for sharing your learnings so generously with the guild.
Last but not the least, thanking our wonderful hosts Sukanyaa Sripathy Hariprasath and Temi Adeyefa for bringing up the best conversations that turned into useful insights for our PM community.
