THE GREATEST AWARD ...

We spend more than half of our lives working for an organization or building our business and we tend to forget that the power, apart from GOD, is the love and presence of our family especially the children that we bring into this world. Recently I got awarded the greatest Dad in the world by my son and daughter and I should say that in light of all the achievements and accolades in life , there is nothing like this award, nothing ever can replace it , nor be better than it.

I am sure I don't deserve this with the amount time I spend on other things than family, however this made me realize and rethink how I do in this area. So here is the main theme of this message , a reminder to me and everyone who take our kids for granted - :

1. Cherish every moment we have with them , let us be completely focussed with them in every way.

2. Create teachable moments through how you live your life , remember they watch our every move.

3. Convert failures or obstacles in their lives to a process of finding victory and joy through paths untravelled.

4. Converse on everyday subjects and deep ideas, allow them to grow as unique individuals, knowing themselves and growing to who they are supposed to.

5. Forgive often (we have all made mistakes) , love unconditionally, live to serve and give the best we can.

Hope all of you will spend some time on this and looking forward that all of you Dads and Moms getting one of these awards. I am putting it up on my wall.

Let's all strive to be deserving of our children.

As the week comes to a close, it's essential to take a moment to reset and recharge. The stress and the lack of clarity of the week gone by, may still linger , so try to walk in the morning light , talk with your loved one with trust and transparency, read and ponder on the gift of life, write about all the things you are grateful for, sleep a couple of extra hours, reflect on all you have been given in strength and weaknesses, exercise differently through a game with the kids and meditate to hear how much GOD loves you and will lead you on into the coming weeks, months and years.

Wishing you a rejuvenating weekend and a fulfilling journey ahead.

BEING FAIR

Are we treated fair?

Are we all given equal opportunities?

Questions that we may ask in a world where things are changing rapidly and each one is trying to hold on to their positions and beliefs. In a world where few have the power to rule over other's lives and most of the others are lost in the maze of this power play , it becomes clear that we are all going back to the roots of the neanderthals we once were.

It is thus imperative we really bring back fairness in the way we treat each other , starting with ourselves , a deep look into the way we deal with our colleagues , friends and family with the intention of being fair. Fairness is an important attribute for leaders in how they treat their team members , provide responsibilities and allow spaces for growth. Over the last few months , the topic of fairness has come in many conversations and it is a tough topic to discuss and provide insights if we personally do not understand what fairness is all about.

I invite you think over this and as you watch the below video , let us evaluate our position of power where we are and introspect the aspect of fairness in every area of our lives.
