Starting your low-waste journey is a challenge, especially here in Dubai.

You sometimes get weird looks when you say no to the plastic straw or utensil and tell them you have your own. Using your own reusable cup will often result in confused looks and the "Let me speak to my manager" spiel.

So it's great to see cafes in Dubai participating in this shift towards low waste living. There are even cafes that encourage reusable cups by offering discounts for using them!
