If you have ever had Zinfandel with the right food, you know exactly what we mean. 🍷🔥
This is not a delicate wine. It is bold, fruit-forward, and packed with natural spice. And when you pair it with something that matches that intensity, the whole thing just clicks.
Here are four pairings that do exactly that:

🔥 Smoked meats and BBQ. The smokiness pulls out Zinfandel's dark fruit character in a way that makes every bite better than the last. This one is hard to argue with.

🥩 Veal or pork chops. The fat and savory depth of the meat soften the wine's spice and bring the fruit-forward side right to the front. Elegant without trying to be.

🍝 Slow-cooked ragù. One of the great pairings of the table, honestly. The acidity of the tomato and the richness of the sauce find their match in the wine's structure. Sunday lunch sorted.

🌶️ Mole sauce. Complex, layered, built on dark chocolate and dried chili. It echoes every note Zinfandel already has. Bold meets bold and neither one backs down.

Which of these would you go for first? And is there a Zinfandel pairing you swear by that is not on this list? 👇

The perfect RIEDEL Zinfandel glass is waiting for you here.

Be honest. Which one of these is you? 🍷
🍇 You grab whatever looks good on the shelf, it tastes great, and that is more than enough. No drama needed.
🎉 You are the one who shows up with a bottle and turns a Tuesday into a thing. You learn about wine mostly by drinking it, and the glass needs to survive the dishwasher.
🏡 You have your favourites, you know what you like, and you see absolutely no reason to change. Classics exist for a reason.
🔍 You are already thinking about what comes after the bottle you just opened. Life is too short to drink the same thing twice.
🎓 You are the one organising the wine night, briefing everyone on the region, and genuinely excited when someone brings something unexpected.
🏆 You have a temperature-controlled cellar, a decanter collection, and zero tolerance for compromise.
Every one of these drinkers deserves a glass that actually fits how they drink. Find the right RIEDEL collection for your style here.

Quick question for the Zinfandel people here. What glass are you pouring it into? 🍷

Most of us go straight for the big wide-bowled red glass. Makes total sense. Zinfandel is bold, jammy, full of dark fruit. It feels like it needs space. But it actually shows up better in a Riesling glass.

The narrower shape pulls all that ripe berry, spice, and complexity together and points it exactly where it needs to go. Same wine, different glass, and suddenly it tastes more like itself than it ever did before.

It sounds like it should not work. Try it once and it completely does.

Have you already experimented with this? Did it change anything for you, or are you skeptical? Genuinely curious what people think. 👇

Let's talk about the wines that actually make dinner better.

🍷 Light-bodied whites don't get enough credit at the table. They are not there to compete with the food. They are there to make every bite taste more like itself. And when you get the pairing right, the whole meal shifts up a gear.
Here are three that do it brilliantly:

🌊 Muscadet — all brininess and minerality. The one you reach for with anything from the sea.

🌿 Grüner Veltliner — white pepper, savory depth, and real grip. Cuts through richer dishes in a way that keeps you going back for another bite.

✨ Riesling — aromatic, vibrant, and surprisingly versatile. Handles sweetness, spice, and everything in between better than almost any other white.

Three wines, three distinct personalities, one job: to make the food taste more like itself.

Whatever your preference, find the perfect RIEDEL glass here.

Can we talk about the wines that never get enough credit? 🥂
Light-bodied whites. No oak, no drama, just sharp acidity, a real sense of where they came from, and an almost unfair ability to make food taste better. Here are three pairings that have been working for centuries. Literally.
🇫🇷 Muscadet with grilled sardines or oysters This one grew up next to the sea. The Loire Valley's briny, mineral edge and a platter of freshly shucked oysters is one of those combinations that just makes sense the first time you try it. No explanation needed.
🇦🇹 Grüner Veltliner with Wiener Schnitzel Austria's most iconic duo and honestly one of the great lunch experiences in the world. That white pepper kick and zippy citrus cut right through the golden crust in a way that no other white quite manages.
🇪🇸 Albariño with Gambas al Ajillo Garlic prawns and a wine from Galicia that tastes faintly of sea spray and peach. If you've never had this combination on a warm evening, put it on the list.
The reason all three work? These wines grew up right next to their dishes. Geography is just a better sommelier than any of us. Looking for a deeper dive on what makes light-bodied whites so great? We’ve got you covered.

Be honest - when someone says Riesling, do you think Germany? Most people do. But Austria has been quietly making some of the most exciting Riesling in the world, and not enough people are talking about it. 🍷
Three regions worth knowing:

🏔️ Wachau - You've probably seen the name. Steep terraced vineyards right above the Danube, carved into granite. The wines are classified by ripeness - Steinfeder, Federspiel, Smaragd - and if you ever get your hands on a Smaragd, make time for it. These age beautifully and the depth is something else.

🌿 Kremstal - Just east of Wachau, where the soils shift and things get a little more elegant. Precise, mineral, the kind of wine that keeps evolving in the glass the longer you sit with it. Perfect porch wine, honestly.

⚡ Kamptal - Further north, built around a legendary vineyard called Heiligenstein. Ancient volcanic soils. The wines come out with this wild combination of citrus, spice, and grip that can age for decades. Once you try one, you get why people are obsessed.

Three regions, one grape, and a rabbit hole worth going down.
Make the most out of your Austrian Riesling exploration with the perfect RIEDEL Riesling glass.

You know what's funny? The Espresso Martini was never really about the caffeine.

It's the contrast that makes it work. Bitter and sweet. Smooth but structured. A little energy, a little elegance. ☕🍸 Shake it hard and you get that velvety texture. Strain it fine and it settles just right. And those three coffee beans on top? That's just part of the ritual now. What's nice is that the ritual doesn't have to change.

The zero-proof version keeps the same structure, the same crema, the same feel in the glass. Same ingredients. Same shake. Same glass. The only difference is your choice.

→ 45 ml vodka (or alcohol-free vodka) → 30 ml fresh espresso, chilled → 20 ml simple syrup Shake with ice for 20 seconds. Strain into a Martini glass. Three coffee beans on top.

Full recipe in the link — but first, tell us: Are you team classic or team zero-proof? And who in your life needs this drink this weekend? 👇 Tag them.

Okay but hear us out… a vodka soda doesn’t have to be boring. 🍊

It’s usually the drink you order when you don’t want to think. But what if you did think about it for a second? Fresh grapefruit instead of whatever’s been sitting in the fridge. 🍋 A squeeze of real lime. Actually measuring it instead of just eyeballing. And a proper glass so the bubbles don’t disappear in two minutes. 🫧 Suddenly it’s not just a vodka soda. It’s crisp. Defined. A little sharper in the best way.

If you’re making one: 50 ml vodka → 20 ml fresh grapefruit juice → 10 ml fresh lime juice Top with soda water. Add ice. That’s it. Nothing complicated. Just paying attention. 🍸

Who’s getting one of these when they come over? 👇

Okay, you've got a beautiful oaked Chardonnay open. Now what do you put in front of people first? 🍷

That first bite matters more than most of us think. It sets the mood for the whole evening. And with a big, creamy white like this, you want something that meets it halfway — not a cracker and some hummus.

Here's what actually works: A little brie mousse or burrata - it mirrors that velvety texture and the whole table goes quiet for a second. 🧀 Comté gougères or parmesan crisps - the nuttiness plays right off the oak. Every time. A smoked salmon bite or something with lobster - that little hit of salt cuts through the richness beautifully. 🐟

Nothing complicated. Just things that make the wine taste even better and give people something to talk about before the main event.
