As parents, being away from you was never easy, but seeing the strength, discipline and remarkable man you have become makes every moment apart worthwhile. Your courage and resilience were recognised by your officers, while your kindness, laughter and genuine care for others touched everyone around you.

Nothing could match the emotion of placing those two Lieutenant on your shoulders. In that moment, we saw our little boy, every challenge you overcame, and the proud officer you have become. ❤️

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned as a mum and full-time worker:

Just because I can do everything doesn’t mean I should.

Can I work a full day? Yes.
Can I keep the house running? Yes.
Can I cook dinner, do the laundry, help with homework, answer everyone’s messages, and still be there for everyone? Also yes.

But doing everything all the time comes at a cost.

I’ve realised that I don’t have to say yes to everything or carry everything on my own.

Some days, “good enough” is more than enough.

I’ve learned to give myself grace, protect my energy, and be present for the moments that matter most.

Because life isn’t about proving how much you can handle.

It’s about creating space to enjoy your family, look after yourself, and appreciate the little moments that make life beautiful. 🌷

To every mum trying to juggle work, family, and everything in between—you are doing better than you think. 💕
