Is your team stretched? Thinking of hiring another person?

A few things to consider first:
•Are you using all software systems to their full capacity?
•Do you know why you are still doing things the same way you’ve been operating for years?
•Are tasks being duplicated?
•Does your team regularly ask the same questions?
•Are follow-ups being overlooked?
•Does everyone have their own way of doing things?
•Is it clear who is responsible for each task?

When your team is stretched thin, hiring another person can feel like the obvious solution.

Sometimes it’s worthwhile to re-visit what you’re already doing, what software you’re using to see what tweaks can be made and ensure everything is fully optimised.

If you’re wondering where the pressure points are in your property management business, PM me and I’ll send you some information.

Property management will always be busy, but some of the pressure your team feels may be coming from the way the business operates, not just the volume of work.

Constant interruptions. Different processes being used for the same task. Procedures that aren't documented. Repetitive manual work. Unclear responsibilities. Everything becoming "urgent".

Individually, these might seem like small frustrations. Together, they can create unnecessary pressure across the entire team.

If your property managers are constantly feeling stretched, it’s worth looking beyond the workload and asking:

Where is work getting stuck?
What causes the most interruptions?
Are processes clear and consistent?
Does everyone know who is responsible for what?
What could be simplified or streamlined?
Are you getting the most from your systems?

Sometimes the answer isn’t simply adding another person.

It can be about creating better systems, clearer processes and a more efficient way of working.

If you’re wondering where the pressure points are in your property management business, PM me and I’ll send you some information.

Spring cleaning isn't just for your home or office; your business could probably use one too!

Over time, even the best real estate businesses can accumulate processes and systems that no longer work as well as they should.

Think overflowing inboxes, outdated procedures, messy databases, repetitive admin, and manual tasks everyone has simply got used to.

October is a great time to take a fresh look at what's happening behind the scenes.

Ask yourself:
What's taking longer than it should?
What does the team constantly have questions about?
What are we still doing manually?
Why are we still doing this the same way?
What could be simplified, documented or streamlined?
How can we use our software systems better?

Sometimes, a good business spring clean is exactly what's needed to make the day-to-day run that little bit smoother.

What's one thing in your business you'd love to clean up before the end of the year?

There’s room for everyone.
Someone else working in the same industry doesn’t automatically make them your competition.

We can share knowledge, recommend each other, celebrate wins and support people doing great work, without taking anything away from our own businesses.

After more than 30 years in real estate, I know one thing: strong professional relationships matter.

You never know when the person you support today might recommend you tomorrow, introduce you to someone you need to know, or simply understand exactly what you’re dealing with.

Supporting good people doing good work doesn’t weaken your business.
It builds a stronger industry.

September can feel like the beginning of the end of the year.
But there’s still time to make meaningful progress.

Pull out the goals you set at the beginning of 2026 and take another look.

What have you completed?
What’s still in progress?
What quietly slipped off the radar?
And what could you realistically achieve before the end of December?

Not every unfinished goal needs to be abandoned or pushed into 2027.

Some might just need renewed focus, a clearer plan or someone to take ownership.

Choose the priorities that will make the biggest difference to your business and give them the attention they need over the next three months.

2026 isn’t over yet. There’s still time to finish strong.
