Last night I had the absolute pleasure of attending the launch of Because Adulthood Shouldn’t Be This Boring by Shanelle Franklin at Paloma
What an incredible night.
A room full of women supporting women. Cheering. Laughing. Backing each other. The energy in that space was something special.
Shanelle is hilarious, real, and carries the most beautiful warmth. She spoke so lovingly about her Scottish granny (which of course gave me all the Celtic feels 🥹). There’s something about that shared heritage that just hits differently.
Her message really stayed with me — the healing power of laughter. The reminder that adulthood doesn’t have to mean heavy, serious, or small. That joy is allowed. That fun is medicine.
It was more than a book launch.
It was connection.
It was courage.
It was women lifting women.
It was inspiring
