I’ve told myself
 “I am a bad mother.”
Because I couldn’t stop you from getting sick.
If I could take every fever, every cough, every sleepless night for you, I would.
But I couldn’t. Does that make me a bad mother?

I couldn’t stop you from catching those daycare bugs.
I couldn’t keep every pain away.
Does that make me a bad mother?

I wish I had started this business sooner,
Maybe you wouldn’t have needed to be in someone else’s care.
Maybe things would have been easier.
Does that make me a bad mother?

But here’s what I know now
My love for you is stronger than any setback.
I will build something great for us.
An empire.
A future where you don’t have to struggle.
Where mama has time, freedom, and choices.

To all the mums reading this
You are NOT a bad mother.
You’re doing your best in tough circumstances.
And circumstances can change.
