🌊 Expressions of Interest – Agnes Water Community 🌊

Coral Coast Physio in Bundaberg is exploring the possibility of expanding services, and want to hear from you!

Seeking expressions of interest for the following services:
✔️ Physiotherapy
✔️ Exercise Physiology
✔️ Psychology
✔️ Speech Pathology
✔️ Allied Health Assistant (AHA) Exercise Programs

If there is enough community demand, Coral Coast Physio will look at bringing these services to Agnes Water.

Carers QLD will be in Agnes Water to answer your questions and provide information on all things NDIS.

Their Local Area Coordinators (LACs) are equipped with a wealth of knowledge and have an in-depth understanding of how the NDIS works. They can provide guidance on how to best utilise your current plan and help you navigate ongoing changes within the scheme.

We’d like to let our community know that YOUnique’s Haven Singing Group will not be continuing in 2026.

We want to extend a very special thank you to Jerry Cabarrus, who developed and hosted the Haven Singing Group. Jerry’s passion, dedication, and generosity of spirit helped create a safe, uplifting, and inclusive space that so many people have valued 💙

We’re also deeply grateful to everyone who took part and helped make the group a meaningful experience.

While Haven Singing Group is coming to a close, as we look ahead to new community-based programs, we’d love your input on what you’d like to see happening locally. Your voice matters, and we want to create programs that truly reflect our community 💙

🌈 YOUnique turns ONE! 🌈

What a year it has been…

A year of rapid growth — far beyond anything I ever could have imagined. Watching others grow, achieve their goals, and chase their dreams has been one of the most heart-warming parts of this journey.

This year has been about bringing an essential service to a community that went without for many years. Creating meaningful employment opportunities. Showing up — often for very long days, 7 days a week, for weeks on end.

It’s also been a year of heartache from a broken system, countless character-building moments, and continuous learning every single day. No two days are the same. Every day is full of the unexpected (which is now kind of expected!) — surprises, challenges, and lessons.

In a world that often feels loud, rushed, and reactive, choosing to slow down and lead with compassion can feel revolutionary. Being proactive rather than reactive allows us to meet the world with understanding instead of defensiveness. It’s about being open rather than closed, curious rather than judgmental.

Instead of making statements, ask questions. Instead of rushing to respond, just listen. Don’t fill the silence — sometimes, presence speaks louder than words ever could. Stay calm, not heightened. And when things feel overwhelming, try to imagine life through someone else’s eyes. We all have our own stories, struggles, and triumphs.

Every person deserves the opportunity to have a voice — to be seen, heard, and accepted. We don’t have to agree with everyone, but we can always choose acceptance over resistance.

Creating a safe space doesn’t require grand gestures. It begins with simple acts — a smile at a stranger, a check-in with a friend, an offer of help to someone who needs it. These small, genuine moments of kindness can quite literally save a life. They can shift someone’s path in a brighter direction, perhaps one they didn’t even know was possible.

Being a good human doesn’t cost a thing, yet it’s the most valuable gift you can give. Love and kindness have no monetary value — but they hold the power to change the world, one person, one moment, one act at a time.
