Blake’s BF Turbo Track Ute is FINALLY finished… and honestly, this is the biggest build I’ve taken on to date 🤯

This thing has been sitting in my yard for what feels like forever while we chased every little detail and tried to do EVERYTHING properly… but seeing it all come together has made it 100% worth it 😍

Well lookout we have finally acquired a new dyno!!! 😁😁

How exciting is that! It’s been a long time coming but I’ve finally made it happen and welcomed home my “new” dynotech chassis dyno, I couldn’t be happier. 😎

First off on the rollers was this 2022 2.4L Toyota hilux in for a remap, I’ve attached a photo of the before and after run with the torque and KW figures so you can see the gains yourself, this is definately a lot more responsive and better to drive for towing.

IF you have a diesel powered car/4x4, stop leaving power under the table and call us to get it booked in, tuned properly on a dyno and returned with decent gains around, it really is the best thing you can do for any modern 4x4 diesel vehicle the results speak for themselves, along with added power you will have better fuel economy aswell, so why wouldn’t you? Hey crew hope everyone has had an absolute killer of a week like we have at the shop 😎

Just thought it is about time to do a bit of a post about the shop, I have been in here coming up to 2 years and I wouldn’t change anything that’s happened , but moving forward I am lifting my hourly rate for everything, this has been a huge problem in me actually being able to move upward and forwards.

My general rate is going to be $130/hour for all basics and diagnostics work etc.

My fabrication, elec and dyno rate is now going to $150/hour all including GST.

I personally guilt trip myself into feeling bad for people because of how much it has cost customers and then I always end up being the one that puts myself last in these situations, and for what? I should not feel sorry for someone that there race car costs them money, so does mine 🤣 and we still love it.

Unfortunately I have been my own worst enemy and NO ONE else is to blame but I will no longer be negotiable on anything. I have had to lower some of my standards on numerous small things to match budgets that should just be knocked back and I’m unfortunately not doing this anymore as this world is so toxic people will just blame my workmanship and not understand that the funds where not there so I am going to remove this completely.

I have included a few photos of some of the work that I have really enjoyed doing so have a bit of a look through and give me a like 🙏

And also, a huge thankyou to all of my loyal customers , I hope most of you can understand where I’m coming from and not have hate towards me , but if you do unfortunately there’s not much I can do I’m going to put my shop first 😎

I know that I put more effort into this then a lot of people and I have spent so much time getting to where I am it wasn’t just handed to me so on that, happy racing guys and keep it to the tracks 💪 I’m out

Recently I had baileys ba xr6 track car in for a handful of work , he bought this car and then realised it needed a lot of work we got a plan together and got it happening.

Started by fitting the following

✅crow cam valve springs

✅new genuine ford timing chain kit

✅intercooler kit built in house to suit the SC.

✅custom set of DUAL stepped 6 > 1 extractors customers request for F1 sound

✅ 3 inch extractor back exhaust

✅turbo smart big bubba BOV

✅ 2.75 inch pulley

✅ water methanol jet fitted to cooler piping.

I got it all finished and dialed in on the dyno, the cheaper intercooler was unfortunately dropping boost a lot as you can see via the dyno graph, red line is pre intercooler and the blue line is in the intake manifold so we unfortunately didn’t get the power we were after, but keen to see how it goes at the track and keen to see what we can do with intercooler later. The IATs were around 55 degrees before and now with the intercooler the highest I seen WOT on the dyno was 23 degrees.

This Holden VL Commodore arrived at the shop running terrible on an old Nistune setup. The original plan was simple — just get it running properly.

After swapping parts and chasing our tails trying to diagnose it, we found the real issue… the previous “tucked” factory loom. Solder joints everywhere, some wires with three joins in the one section. Absolute mess.

Out it came. Straight in the bin.

From there, it was time to do it properly.

After quoting a few setups and getting PG UP on all, we ended up with a full Haltech R3 system so the car could finally be what it should’ve been — and as always, the parts list grew along the way 😎

What went into it:
• Haltech R3 VCU
• Haltech UC10 dash
• Haltech boost control solenoid
• Haltech GPS module
• PRP R35 coil pack conversion kit
• PRP Race Series trigger kit
• Pulsar 6466 with 0.82 rear housing
• Aluminium radiator with thermo fan
• FPR1200 fuel system upgrade
• Oil temp & pressure sensors
• Coolant temp & pressure sensors
• 75mm Bosch DBW throttle body
• VE Commodore accelerator pedal
• 4-inch stainless intake
• 3-inch cold side intercooler piping
• New catch can lines made and fitted

This was my first ever fully terminated harness and my first complete Haltech install. I built the loom from a universal harness to suit this exact engine combo , and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. 💎

Huge thanks to Jeremy for trusting me with this size of a build for a 1 man show.

Once everything was dialed in, it finished up at 305rwkW on 18psi on 98 — which is more than enough to have plenty of fun while keeping it safe. And backed it up with a weekend at power cruise

Super proud of this one. Keen to keep trying to level up and do more like it. 😎

Recently had this absolute 💎 on the dyno. I road-tuned this car years ago, but now that Alex has finished the build properly, we finally got it on the rollers and set it up the way it always deserved.

Specs 👇

• BF Barra gas motor
• Billet oil pump gears & backing plate
• Head studs
• Crow cam valve springs & retainers
• Aeroflow 6-into-1 stainless manifold
• 60mm PSR wastegate with 2.5” screamer
• Gen 2 PSR 3584 turbo
• Forward-facing plenum
• 1000cc injectors
• walbro 525

And let’s be honest we all know I love a Barra in an E Series it just makes sense 😎

As expected, we dealt with the usual boost-spike behaviour but instead of fighting it, we used it to our advantage to keep this high-compression, low nm clutch, T5 setup safe and happy 🤌

Running an 8psi gate spring, it comes on at 8psi and carries a controlled spike to 13/14psi in the top end right where an NA+T Barra can handle it. 🙌
