I just wanted to come on here and share some exciting news with you all regarding the re-opening of my small business! I have always wanted a nice smelling room, or for my house to smell pleasant upon entering, yet I could never quite find scents that ACTUALLY made my mouth-water, so I thought “why can’t I make them?”. So I did, and now even just a glimpse of the name of one of my products sends me into a trance.
I started this business when I was 14, I am now 18. I have been in and out of jobs, fighting through inflation and the unfair hands life throws at you, but I don’t want to just survive, I want to thrive and become a person I can be proud of. Looking back at the long list of jobs I’ve had, the only thing that made me truly happy and fulfilled was my small business. Upon starting the business, 4 years ago, I participated in professional candle making classes during COVID-19, read books and resources, and studied the science and background on everything there was to know about candles. I got some pre-orders, so then with that money I could fund my business and order supplies in, in my first night I sold out 3 batches. I tested and got feedback and tested some more until I was happy to call them MINE.
I “retired” from the business pretty soon after I had started, as I was old enough to work. Although I gained life experience and took on many different roles in different workplaces, no other learning enrichment was as valuable as me being a young successful entrepreneur.
I know I can make magic with my candles, because even my day gets a little brighter when I light the wick and see that beautiful crackling flame, and I am certain that the room-filling fragrances will make your children believe you’re hoarding salted caramel donuts and dried limes in the cupboards, but don’t take my word for it!
These babies are hand crafted, infused with sparkling magic that almost looks like fairy dust, garnished with crystals that correspond with their vibe and feel, and absolutely adoring to the nose. I use additives that reduce black soot and give a cleaner look to the candles, and I’m currently working out the exacts on how long it can burn for.
I would love it so much if you could help support my small business by either sharing this post with someone you know, looking out for markets I might be able to share my products with, giving me any feedback at all (I absolutely ENCOURAGE it!), or simply just buying a candle and blessing your life with good vibes and fragrant-filled rooms.
I have so many more ideas for the future such as bringing some more home fragrances into the mix, and absolutely looking into body care, such as body butters, bath bombs, bath teas, and many more, bundles such as self care and mum & bub bundles, again please leave any suggestions and feedback in the comments as I welcome them!
