🌱 June Grow Guide Australia: What to grow this June

Winter is here, but your garden doesn’t have to slow down. June is the perfect time to plant cool-season favourites across Australia, from leafy greens and brassicas to herbs, peas, onions and root veggies.

Think spinach, kale, lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, silverbeet, coriander, parsley, peas, carrots, beetroot, radish, garlic and spring onions. 🥬🧄

Whether you’re growing in raised beds, pots or a backyard veggie patch, now is the time to refresh your garden and make the most of the cooler months.

Save this June planting guide for your next garden day and share it with a fellow grower 🌿

Think you need to dig deeply to grow straight carrots? Think again!

Healthy, living soil does the hard work for you. Simply feed from the top with compost and sugar cane mulch, keep the seed moist while it germinates, and let nature take care of the rest. Less digging, less effort… sweeter rewards!

Cooler days are here, which means it’s time to prep your patch for the season ahead: winter veg, drought-smart planting, native flowers, edible gardens and small-space growing.

Whether you’ve got a backyard, balcony, courtyard or a few sunny pots, there’s something you can grow this month.

🎉 We have a winner! 🎉

Congratulations to .h.xo, winner of our Pargo drink bottle giveaway!

We loved Vanessa’s autumn garden tip for using W**d Block Mulch in a newly created garden. Clean, neat, less weeding, and literally zero weeds? That’s a garden win in our books. 🪴✨

A huge thank you to everyone who entered and shared your best Aussie autumn gardening tips. We loved reading them all!

Vanessa, please send us a DM so we can organise your prize. 💚

Your garden has a tiny red super hero, and it wears a polka dot cape!

Ladybugs aren’t just cute they’re beneficial insects that help protect your plants by eating aphids and other soft-bodied pests that love to eat/ruin your harvest 😡

Want more of these tiny garden heroes to stick around? Give them a garden they’ll love:

🌿 Plant dill, fennel, alyssum, or yarrow
🍂 Leave a little leaf litter for shelter
🚫 Skip harsh sprays so the good bugs can stay

A healthy garden doesn’t have to be spotless. Sometimes a little “mess” is exactly what nature needs to do its thing.

Swipe to learn how to make your garden more ladybug-friendly, and save this for the next time you spot one crawling through your plants. 🐞
