Been a big few weeks bought 22 hives with honey supers, set up a new 6 hive Apiary and changed another over to 12 new hives only. Went out and inspected a property to set up a small 2 hive Apiary and just yesterday went and collected the honey supers off the 6 hives that had been collecting off primarily red gum before I bought them (should bee some good red gum honey once I get all the permits in place so I can process and sell). Thank you Waggle & Forage Beekeeping Supplies for always putting up with my last minute large orders and the friendly guidance.

Today for me is the day all Victorian beekeepers dread. While out doing my inspections and Varroa mite test one of my Apiaries has come back with 2 hives having been double tested, just too make sure I wasn't delusional! Showing on all the tests 1 mite per 300 bees. I have changed all hives at that Apiary to mesh bases with Varroa mite trays and sticky mats now to prepare for the next steps.
