Yesterday, our Business Development Executive, Lindy Fentiman, and Executive Consultant, Annette Rafter, attended the Holy Cross Laundry Open Day, where they had the opportunity to tour the facility, meet members of the team and learn more about the important work being carried out behind the scenes.

📊 What do the latest employment figures mean for employers?

The ABS reported that Australia's unemployment rate increased to 4.5% in July, while employment and hours worked both declined.

While this points to some easing in labour market conditions, it doesn't necessarily mean the competition for talent has disappeared.

In many sectors, organisations are still competing for experienced leaders, specialist professionals and candidates with highly sought-after skills.

What this shift may mean is that employers have a greater opportunity to be proactive in their hiring strategies, rather than reacting to a candidate-short market.

We're continuing to see strong demand for leadership, governance, finance and specialist roles across Queensland.

The key question isn't whether talent is available. It's whether your organisation is positioned to attract it.
