Tomorrow's Saturday. You've got nowhere to be.
So picture it. You knock off, you don't go home, you come here instead. It's about six and the sun's coming in sideways through the trees, still warm on the back of your neck. You find a spot at one of the barrels. First beer of the weekend goes down in about four minutes and nobody's judging you for it.
Someone's set up in the corner with a guitar. No stage, no ticket, no one taking your name at the door. Just a bloke playing songs you half know, close enough that you could talk to him between numbers if you wanted to.
An hour goes by. The light drops, the string lights in the trees start doing the work, and the garden fills up without ever getting loud. You order another. You stop checking your phone somewhere around the second one and you don't notice until much later.
This is the whole thing. No plan, no booking, no big night. Just a few hours where the week finally lets go of you.
Then tomorrow you wake up early anyway, and it's not a hangover, it's just Saturday. Windows open, coffee on, that guitar still going somewhere in the back of your head. Whole day in front of you and you've already had a good night.
Live music from 6pm tonight. Kitchen's open.
