My Mother (1st Pic). The woman who taught me to cook. The woman who taught me to be frugal in the kitchen when we didn’t have a lot. The woman who taught me resilience. The woman that worked tirelessly for her children always putting her needs last. The wonders she could harvest in the kitchen with just a bag of flour and a few ingredients to feed our large family and more. She is my beautiful Mother, the woman that laid the very foundation of what I love doing today.

My mother in law (2nd pic). The woman that has loved me as her very own. The woman that has taken me back to my roots in the kitchen. The woman who taught me to make the best Kopai ever. The woman that would travel to ends of the world to give you a feed and make sure you are ok. She is such a great example of a woman that loves without judgment to all she comes across. How grateful and lucky I am to have such a beautiful mother in law that I love dearly.

They are great Mothers, Grandmothers and Great Grandmothers just like yours. Happy Mother’s Day to all the sisters, aunties, nieces and dearest friends that have played the mother role for us too! You also made an impact on our children just as much whether you realise or not.
