The best part of Tactical Tradie happens outside the Zoom room.

On Friday, we brought together a group of our Brisbane crew, from brand-new faces to a guys who are practically part of the furniture.

We caught up, shared a few laughs and threw them into saunas, ice baths and steam rooms before heading out for a beautiful lunch together.

We cap our community for a reason. Every person matters, and we genuinely give a s**t about every business owner who joins us.

These in-person catch-ups are easily my favourite part of what we do. Bloody good day with a bloody good crew. 👊 # #

Trade business owners can look like they've got it all sorted. Behind the scenes, plenty of them are doing it without a single person who actually understands the pressure.

When I was running my own plumbing and roofing business, I was lonely. Properly lonely. And I had some serious stuff going on upstairs that I wasn't dealing with either.

Rock bottom looks different for every tradie, but avoiding your troubles with behaviour like day drinking is a familiar one for plenty of blokes on the tools.

Getting out the other side is rarely one big moment. It takes intentional decisions to change, made easier by finding support and someone to actually talk to, even when that's harder than the toughest job on site.

That support can't stop after one conversation, because managing your mental health may not stop either. What matters is you're not carrying it on your own.
