Loram is very excited to be exhibiting at AusRAIL 2024, the largest rail event in the Asia-Pacific region. From Monday, 25th November to Wednesday, 27th November 2024, we’ll be at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre, connecting with likeminded industry professionals from across the region. 
 
We are especially looking forward to the Concurrent Technical Sessions program, where our very own Kevin (Hamed) Kashani, Manager of Railway Geotechnics, will be presenting on Wednesday, 27th November at 11:15 AM. “Track substructure maintenance management (SuMM): The approach review with examples.”

Managing risks involves thinking about what could happen if someone is exposed to a hazard and how likely it is to happen. At Loram we always aim to eliminate risks. Where this isn't possible, we take steps to minimise these risks. During October we are encouraging teams to conduct Management Safety Tours to examine conditions, practices, and provided feedback on safety matters and performance.

Career Opportunity | Maintenance Planner - Perth & WA

We are pleased to announce we have commenced recruitment for the newly established role of Maintenance Planner.

Reporting to the Maintenance Leader, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner to join our team based in Perth with frequent travel to sites throughout the Pilbara.

Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead and champion a safety culture that promotes, creates, and maintains a safe approach in all aspects of the operation.
- Lead and partner with relevant stakeholders’ teams to achieve business objectives.
- Supply and assist with Job Safety Analysis (JSA’s) and Safe Working Instructions (SWI’s) for all relevant maintenance activities.
- Execute all safety critical work orders as per the requirements of industry standards.
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term maintenance & demand plans that comply with Safety Management System/System of Maintenance obligations whilst supporting the efficient and effective delivery of maintenance.
- Ensure maintenance plans are scheduled and executed in line with CMMS and Australian fleet requirements.
- Ensure all maintenance activities are costed with the appropriate number of quotes supplied.
- Ensure daily communication across teams and external repair providers to ensure the maintenance plan is managed, up to date and aligned with all key stakeholders.

About you:
- Experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Experience in using Maintenance Systems (CMMS) and Excel (mandatory).
- C Class Drivers Licence.
- Ability to direct and influence others to drive outcomes.
- Planning experience in scheduling and project management is preferred.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to optimise business processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills to assist cross functional communication.
- Knowledge of demand forecasting tools including market, finance, manufacturing and supply chain.
