**ANNOUNCEMENT**
THE BASICS PROJECT is teaming up with Bangalow Show Society to produce a brand new show for primary school kids. Titled "Jack" this is a live history lesson about life on the home front in 1915.

"Jack" is an educational performance that looks at the day to day life of an almost ten year old boy growing up in Australia in 1915. Australia is at war, kids knit socks at lunch time, birthday cakes are simple because of food rations, Mum has a job which is kind of strange and Dad wont be there to sing Happy Birthday as he is fighting in an adventure called War.

Created by The Basics Project for the 2015 Bangalow A&I Show's education programe, "Jack" is one of the funnest history lessons out!

More info coming soon!!!!

{event announcement} Luna Loving Shines On Bangalow.

Its been ten years since born and bred local boy Luke Butler left town, but he is packing his bags for a short visit home, and he's bringing an adventure along with him in a suitcase.

Now calling Brisbane home, Luke has spent the last few years studying and producing theatre and live performance throughout Sydney, Western New South Whales and Queensland. Now with his own production company, The Basics Project, he is returning to his home town of Bangalow to share his latest work "Me, Maria And The Moon".

"To bring a show back home has been sitting on my bucket list for quite some time, and now just seems to be the perfect time".

Having just finished the premier season of "Me, Maria And The Moon" at Brisbane's 2015 Anywhere Festival, the one man power house of a show is hitting the road and arriving in Bangalow for one night only.

An original work written and performed by Luke, "Me, Maria And The Moon" is a classic piece of storytelling based on the original work by Italio Calvino. Best described as a not-so-classic love tale, this is an adventure of the heart that will take you to the moon and back - literally!

"Me, Maria And The Moon"
31st July and 1st August
7pm at Barebones Art Space
Tickets $20 - book at venue.

Awesome - love your work Luke!
