We hear a version of the same thing from a lot of owners who've built a genuinely good team, the people are capable, the roles are filled, but nobody's actually tested whether the business can run without them for real.
Here's what's possible on the other side of that test. A phone that stays quiet during a full week away. A partner who gets a real weekend back, not the half-attention version. A business that's worth more the day someone wants to buy it, because the value doesn't sit inside one person's head anymore. That's not a fantasy, it's just what happens once the test actually gets run.
A few places to start:
● Pick one decision only you currently make, and hand it to someone else this month
● Take the test properly, a real week away, phone off, no check-ins
● Give the people around you the room to prove they can hold it, not a scaled-down version of the job
If this sounds familiar, we'd love to talk it through.
