Going back in time.......
In 2010 I opened up a gallery that supported handmade artists that was based in Fortitude Valley here in Brisbane.
It was a big investment and it was tough work, but I loved the people I met and the lessons I learned.
There are so many creative people out there, and many more who secretly wish they could allow themselves the opportunity to be creative.
I was so proud of what we offered to artists, and wished that it could have continued on forever......but these are the lessons we learn as we wander through life.
Who said Pink & Red never look good together!?!! xx

When the journey IS the destination! ⛴️
Cruises have come a long way from my first one as a 6 year old!
It was a BIG thing for our family and even though I was very young I have many happy memories of my time on the boat, and exploring islands like Suva in Fiji as a passenger on the boat.
And I've had a few more cruises in more recent times - namely with the 'scarfies' for a 40th AND a 42nd trip, with the family and mum and dad and then with the scarfies and their partners for a combined 50th cruise.
Each time it's never been about ending up somewhere and then deciding to be happy - it's about the experience and how much you take out of it while on the boat.
At least that's how I've seen it, and I think lots of fellow passengers can definately agree with that, don't you!?!

A quick reminder about who the face is behind this account - Vicki is my name and finding things that bring me joy is the game!

Whether I'm doom-scrolling in search of the last post on TikTok (spoiler alert: there's no such thing!) or being completely obsessed with the 12 different ways to use a single celery bunch (the leaves are good for salads apparently!) I'm often quick to jump to another exciting project, while also remembering to find joy in the absolute awe it is to simply being alive!

I hope today finds you looking for the good in life, and that every so-called 'failure' you endure is reimagined as a learning opportunity!

I learnt that as you get old you can either look cool or weird, so seeing as thought I recently turned 51, I'll be leaning into the weird, thank you very much!!
