I’ve been so lucky to have so many awesome people support me through this flood time. 🏡 However it’s not over yet, for me or for thousands of people. Despite only having the downstairs of my house flooded, I’m still uncertain about my own living scenario. This is because of mould, (safety) reconstruction of part of the unit, (time) and actually, if I can mentally manage living in a partially damaged home with the kids, giant dryers going all the time and coordinating lots of trades coming in and out, on top of trying to get back to work (mental health). 🧠
BUT it’s not easy to find a new rental right now. The market is very challenging. I’m between a rock and a hard place, pushing as hard as I can to see progress and waiting for enough data to make a decision. 🤪
Sometimes I find it hard to ask for help, and I think many people do. So I thought I’d put into one drawing all the ways people need help in these times. So if this is you or someone you know, there’s some ideas on how you can support or ask for support. 🖤
