If bright pink “GO BEYOND” sunglasses are showing up in your feed… there’s a reason.
I created them as a reminder.
To stand out.
To go beyond the expected.
To stop blending in.
To stop building a business that looks and sounds like everyone else’s.
To stop waiting until you feel more ready, more polished, more certain, more “professional” before you let yourself be seen.
Last week at the BEAM in Business Festival, I had the privilege of speaking as part of the expert masterclass and panel day, and this was the message I kept coming back to:
Most women in business don’t need more noise or advice.
They need the courage to stop blending in.
They need to be bold and reminded of that.
Because growth does not come from looking around the room and asking, “What is everyone else doing?”
It comes from asking:
What do I actually stand for?
Where am I playing too safe?
What am I not saying because I’m worried it won’t land?
Where am I following the expected path instead of creating my own?
The BEAM in Business Awards 3-day festival last weekend in Melbourne brought together women who are building something real.
Women who are backing themselves.
Women who are moving.
Women who are ready to think bigger, stand out and go beyond what’s expected.
Women who are putting themselves forward and winning.
And being in that room reminded me why these spaces matter.
Because growth rarely happens in isolation.
It happens through ideas.
Conversations.
Connections.
Visibility.
And those moments where someone says something that makes you think:
“Actually… maybe I can do this differently.”
That is not a soft reason to show up.
That is how momentum gets built.
Thank you BEAM for creating a space where women in business are seen, heard, challenged and celebrated.
And to every woman building something right now:
Don’t shrink to fit the room.
Stand out.
Go beyond.
