Want to know more about local employment opportunities at Thunderbird?

We'll be hosting jobs fairs in Derby and Broome later this month to connect local people with real employment and training opportunities.

The events will bring together KMS, our business partners Assetlink Village Services, Kaynar Group and REGroup, and jobseekers to talk about current vacancies (we'll even help you apply on the spot!), career pathways and future opportunities.

A key focus will be recruitment for KMS' new in-house services crew, with 10 opportunities available for Poly Welders, Operators and Supervisors, including at entry-level or for candidates with limited experience.

🤝 New ore mining contract signed

We've officially signed a long-term ore mining contract with RE:GROUP for the Thunderbird Mineral Sands Mine.

The partnership has grown from RE:GROUP's earlier work at Thunderbird and reflects the strong working relationship developed on site. RE:GROUP is now fully operational, with an 89-person team supporting mining activities.

The contract was formalised at a signing ceremony in Perth, marking another important milestone for the Thunderbird operation.

Based in Broome on a Monday to Friday roster, this role is responsible for managing the supply chain for Thunderbird's mineral products and building strong relationships with our haulage, port and logistics partners.

We're looking for someone with:

Working on an 8:6 roster, this role is a back-to-back position with a Superintendent who brings strong environmental expertise. We're seeking someone with a strong safety background and deep WHS knowledge to help drive our safety culture, strengthen compliance, build workforce capability and support continuous improvement across the operation.
