We often hear parents say they have a “private arrangement” with their nanny, usually cash in hand and nothing formal in place.
But once we explain that, in most cases, a nanny is actually considered an employee, things start to shift 👀
That’s when families realise they may be responsible for things like PAYG tax, super and ATO reporting, even if it didn’t feel like that kind of arrangement.
And if it hasn’t been set up correctly, it can lead to back payments and the need to properly set up payroll ⚠️
This week, we’re breaking down nanny tax and whether it applies to you as a parent.
You can read the full blog here: https://nannypay.com.au/nanny-tax-australia/ or if you’d rather talk it through, send us a DM saying “I’m ready” and we’ll send you a link to book a free call.
