TRL’s weekly update, and photos of the completed tanks, T1 & T2.

It is worth mentioning here that you may notice in the photos that several sections in each tank appear more translucent than typical. For these layers the teams used powder-bound chopped strand mat instead of emulsion-bound (same GSM weighting). The resin has clearly wet through the glass fibres more effectively during lamination. As part of our ongoing process improvements, TRL will further investigate whether this offers any practical benefits for future tank builds. Any significant process or material changes would of course be developed in consultation with the client.
