The wearable, created by physiotherapist Luke Pickett, aims to enhance fitness and injury recovery by providing detailed biomechanical analysis to improve patient movement.⁠

Working closely with Luke and his team, Katapult meticulously considered all aspects of a user’s interaction with the wearable. Whether it be the fitting of the product or the simple but sophisticated packaging solution, every detail adds up to a satisfying experience.

More than 40 entries blew us away with a diversity of amazing creative talent, which is super exciting for the future of design.
We had loads of fun going through the outstanding entries, with the video challenge as always a favourite of ours, where individuality and personality shine through.

The quality of the entries made judging really tough for our panel, who interviewed a short list of the 3 finalists. Congratulations and special mentions to the runners up - Thea Davey and Leo Pryor who were shining stars with their outstanding capabilities and work.

We are thrilled to announce our Launch winner for 2024 is Maoxin Yuan, an industrial design graduate from UNSW.
Mao's creativity and sense of humour was cleverly woven into his short video and had us hooked from the start.
What an extraordinary design talent he is, who stood out from the crowd with his passion for design and hunger to develop his skills and experience. Design for him is also his hobby so you'll find him honing his skills for fun after hours.

We welcome Mao to our team and are looking forward to working with him and supporting him to grow and develop as a designer.

A high point for the year was winning the Good Design Awards for Creatures of Leisure Proto 1.4 Traction Pad, as well as launching our first annual Intern Program with huge success.

As a yearly tradition, we have a lot of fun helping create their April fools post.
This year they tasked us with creating a visual concept of a "Flite Superyacht".

We seized the moment and used AI (Midjourney) to generate quick images based on crafted prompts. We then used our Photoshop finesse and design expertise to create an image perfectly aligned with the Flite brand.

2020, the beginning of the global pandemic. Despite the challenges we (like many other businesses) faced, we saw the opening of our Sydney studio in the Commons, gained our 15th employee and our project portfolio was at an all time high.
It was fantastic to see such a successful outcome during such a challenging year.
