BUILT BY Broadrick We build one-of-a-kind homes for people who give a damn about the details.

From the first sketch to the final nail, we create spaces that are thoughtful, liveable, and made to last.

Building is never really a stagnant process. As a project takes shape, things evolve, questions come up and sometimes what looked right on paper needs a little more thought.

As builders, a big part of what we do is work through those moments. Walking the site, talking through the options and finding a solution that keeps the design intent intact, but also makes sense from a build and liveability perspective.

Sometimes the best solution only becomes obvious once you’re standing there looking at it. That’s the beauty of building.

Quality is one of those words that gets thrown around a lot in building.

For us, it’s pretty simple. It’s doing the work properly, caring about the bits no one sees and not lowering the standard just because something is difficult.

It’s something we take pride in, and it’s what makes the finished home feel exactly right for our clients. The little things, unseen but that ultimately make the biggest difference to how a home comes together and feels in the end.

This open shelving tucked into the end of the kitchen island at our Earle Project adds extra storage without adding bulky overhead cabinetry or taking away from the openness of the space. A simple detail, but a very useful one.

Big day on site at Casa Kinn. The slab pour is an exciting milestone in a new build. The space starts to take shape, and all those months of planning finally come together in front of you. At Built by Broadrick we take pride in pouring every slab in house. Get the foundation right and everything else follows. We can’t wait to see this project unfold.

In the detail.

Spotlighting the kitchen island at our Earle Project. A little different to your usual design, with a steel frame, timber detailing and stone benchtop giving it more of a furniture feel than a traditional kitchen island.

We asked Rob from Quest Architecture about the thinking behind the design; “The steel frame was primarily about making the island feel lighter and less imposing. Rather than having a large, solid stone block sitting on the floor, the bench lightly touches the ground which felt like a natural fit for the treehouse concept, with its cantilevers and lighter, more playful forms.”

A beautiful example of how the smaller design decisions add up to shape the feel of the entire home.

Spotlight on the feature strip cladding at our Pearce Project, Lysaght Dominion in Night Sky. Running as a feature band around the exterior of the house, it really makes the angles pop against the white brick exterior, and matches beautifully with the glazing.

Timber details at our Malbec Project.

At the front, Blackbutt was used to tie in with the handmade front door, while out the back, Merbau was chosen to match the deck.

We love the contrast of these warm, rich timbers against the charred Shou Sugi Ban cladding. And a very nice bit of carpentry by our in-house team 🤝

A look at the bathroom selections at the Earle Project.

Warm timber, earthy tones and a mix of texture throughout, with those green tiles bringing in just the right amount of colour. We love how all the selections work together to create a space that feels calm, but with plenty of personality.

There’s something pretty satisfying about install day.

After being formed off-site, these concrete bench tops were carefully installed into place by the team at Set In Steel . Now we’re one step closer to seeing the finished kitchen come to life at our Malbec Project with the integrated sink, cooktop and all the final details.

A little joinery appreciation.

The clients opted for Polytec Florentine Walnut joinery throughout the kitchen, paired with Caesarstone Cosmopolitan White stone benchtops and a matching splashback. One of our favourite details is the integrated fridge and how the joinery continues seamlessly into the butler’s pantry, creating a seamless flow from space to space.
