Over the weekend, CHRG were proud to support the 25th Anniversary of Hills Relay For Life. 💛

Hills Relay For Life is a community event that raises vital funds for Cancer Council’s research, prevention and support services. It is also an opportunity for the community to come together to celebrate cancer survivors, recognise those currently fighting the disease and remember loved ones lost.

Running from Saturday 16th to Sunday 17th May, the event once again brought together survivors, families, schools, local businesses, community groups and local leaders in a united effort to fight back against cancer.

Across the weekend, our team hosted fundraising activities, connected with the community and shared in some incredibly moving moments, including the Candlelight Ceremony and our Hero Wall, where attendees left messages of hope, remembrance and support.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by, donated and helped support this important cause, with over $300,000 raised for Cancer Council! 💜

This morning, CHRG proudly stood alongside our community for the Hills March for Change, united against domestic and family violence.

Beginning at Castle Towers and walking through to Castle Hill RSL Club, the march brought together The Hills Area Local Command, local schools, community leaders and businesses in a powerful show of support and solidarity.

Following the march, students took part in an impactful workshop at Castle Hill RSL, encouraging important conversations around respect and healthy relationships.

Domestic and family violence continues to impact too many lives across Australia. Together, as a community, we stand to raise awareness, drive change and say enough is enough.

Join us tomorrow on ANZAC Day as we come together to honour the courage and sacrifice of all Australians who have served.

Start the day with a moving Dawn Service at Centenary of ANZAC Reserve at 6AM, followed by a hearty breakfast at the Club from 9AM. Enjoy classic Aussie-inspired meals at the Courtyard Kitchen, and join us for the tradition of Two-Up from 12PM, with all proceeds will go towards RSL LifeCare and Thank You for Your Service Quilts.

Don't forget, volunteers from Castle Hill and District RSL sub-Branch are set up in the reception foyer today and tomorrow. Take a moment to stop by, have a chat and support the Poppy Appeal. Every poppy makes a real difference for veterans and their families.

Let’s come together to reflect, remember, and honour.

A big congratulations to the Castle Hill RSL Youth Wind Orchestra on an outstanding result at the Australian National Band Championships in Brisbane.

Competing against some of the best bands in the country, the orchestra delivered exceptional performances and achieved a clean sweep across both divisions, taking home every eligible trophy. An incredible achievement and a true reflection of their dedication, teamwork and passion for music.

We’re proud to have supported the Youth Wind Orchestra for over 20 years. It’s moments like these that make it so special to be part of their journey.

25th November marked the start of the 16 Days of Activism, a global campaign calling for an end to domestic and family violence. 💜

This year, The Hills Domestic Violence Prevention Network has created the Rose Remembrance Display - “Remember, Reflect, Respond”, honouring lives lost to domestic and family violence.

Local high school students who have completed the respectful healthy relationship program, Love Bites, have contributed powerful artworks and hand-painted roses, now on display at Castle Hill RSL until the 30 November. CHRG Board Members and community partners joined us to acknowledge and support this important initiative.

During the 16 Days of Activism, community members are encouraged to visit an Activism event in the Hills Shire and snap a selfie showing you attending, share it to the hashtag , then upload it to the contest page.

Let’s stand together for respect, safety and change!
