To all my clients and farming friends,

This dry season is pushing everyone to their limits, I've been quiet on social media, but I see it, and I feel it with you.

If you're feeling the pressure or struggling to make decisions around livestock feeding, containment, or destocking please reach out. You're not alone. I'm here to help however I can.

We’ve been through tough seasons before, and while this one is particularly hard, the strength in our communities and our farming mateship and care is what gets us through. Keep checking in with each other and take care of yourselves as well as your stock.

Anyone got any, or have any contacts with straw available for sale in SA? I have many livestock clients unfortunately locking stock up early and straw would be very helpful in rations! Please let me know of any available.. Thanks

Doing research on the current season's hay quality. Has anyone got any feed test results back yet on hay that was rained on before baling? Keen to see any other current season feed tests you've got too. And also looking for any lower energy, higher fibre cereal straw or hay for clients in the near future if anyone is likely to have anything like that to sell this year? What a brilliant two weeks presenting the Southern Rangelands Grazing Edge package pilots over 7 locations. We had 100 pastoralists in attendance and feedback has been great.
