A very big thank you to everyone for the ongoing support. We are sincerely sorry for our sudden absence and disconnect the past 12 months or so.
Many of our friends are aware that my younger brother Jason was last year diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. This of course came as a complete surprise to us all, especially him. As Jason’s chemo routine is now better managed and stabilised, and we have spent some precious time together, he is now living his best life, not wasting a minute 😍. We are so proud of him! His bravery, courage while still keeping his hilarious sense of humour is so inspirational. So proud of you Jay! X
After such a shock for my brother, doctors tested the rest of the family, myself included (Narelle) and found a 10.9cm tumour in my uterus, again no obvious symptoms. It put everything on hold while we had to also deal with this as well. What a year hey!
Just want to say a massive thank you as well to Andrew, who has been an absolute rock through all this, despite the emotional toll on him too.
Well we are pleased to say surgery is in the works in the near future to resolve this issue for me (Narelle) and everything is looking very optimistic on that front. Huge thanks to the Mater Gynaecology- Oncology team for everything. It’s been a scary year for sure at times and you don’t know how much your shared puppy pics have meant to us all! They literally are the best therapy! Please share away ❤️.
We are extremely lucky to live in the time we do with the medical treatments and diagnostic tools we have available.
I do urge all our wonderful fur families to double check your health and have frequent health checks. The only symptoms both Jason and I had was feeling more tired than normal and in my case, unexplained weight gain.
Who doesnt???
So if you have ongoing fatigue, or other unexplained symptoms, it’s extremely important not to overlook these things or just put it down to something else.
My brothers circumstances lead to testing that likely saved my life, as I would not have been off to get checked otherwise with no obvious symptoms. No words will ever be able to express my gratitude for that. I will be forever grateful ❤️.
So on that heavy note, it is going to be a great 2026 living life to the max and being back into life for the things that bring so much happiness - the fur babies!!!!!!
We have recently had our first litter in quite some time, and these adorable babies pictured below are soooo cute. 🥰
