What a great day at Bacchus Marsh EasterFest!

It was a pleasure to meet so many local residents today and chat about our proposed APR ChemCycle advanced recycling facility right here in Bacchus Marsh. We’re passionate about creating local solutions for soft plastics—and it was fantastic to see that passion shared by the community.

A big thank you to those who brought along bags of soft plastics for us to recycle ♻️ Every little bit helps!

And an extra special shoutout to Dotty and her amazing team of volunteers for putting on such a well-run and welcoming event. We had a ball and can’t wait to be back next year!

We’re proud to support the incredible work of the MAD Foundation 🙌

APR has been a committed supporter of MAD events for more than 20 years, helping make a real difference to families doing it tough.

We’ve cut together a short clip from a recent chat with MAD ambassador and AFL star Tom Lynch on his appearance on Channel 7's Sunday Footy Feast, where he shares what the MAD Foundation is all about.

Every cent raised by MAD goes directly to families in need — no red tape, just real support when it matters most.

🏏 Cricket, Community & A Cause! 🏏

Yesterday, APR Plastics had the privilege of hosting a T20 Cricket Match in support of the MAD Foundation, and what a day it was! Despite the scorching temperatures, the spirit on the field (and off!) was unbeatable.

A huge thank you to Paul Connors from Connors Sports Management, who arranged the AFL players, and MAD Ambassador Tom Lynch, who led the talented team. We’re also grateful to all the AFL players who joined us to play and to our incredible APR team members who showed up to support such a fantastic cause. The MAD Foundation does incredible work helping children and young people facing hardship, and we’re proud to be part of their mission.

♻️ At APR Plastics, we’re proud to celebrate National Recycling Week by spotlighting our work in mechanical recycling of LDPE! Low-density polyethylene (LDPE) – commonly used in plastic bags, stretch wrap, and various packaging – is given a new life through our recycling processes. The used LDPE is carefully cleaned, shredded, heated, and transformed into new pellets, perfect for non-food grade applications. We even use these recycled pellets to create 100% recycled builders film, supporting sustainable construction.

Each step we take helps keep plastic out of landfill and puts it back into the circular economy. Together, let’s reduce, recycle, and reinvent the future of plastic! 🌍

🌱 APR Kerbside and APR Plastics were thrilled to partner with Hobson's Bay Council for Saturday’s e-waste and soft plastics recycling drop-off event! The communities engagement was incredible, with 744 vehicles dropping off materials, many people waiting over 30 minutes to ensure their recycling was properly handled. 🚗♻️

It was inspiring to see so many boot loads of soft plastics coming in for responsible recycling, resulting in a total of 50 full 1100L bins collected throughout the day! A huge thank you to everyone who took part and helped make this event a success. Together, we’re making real strides towards a more sustainable future! 🌍💚

APR Plastics was delighted to host Khay Fong (Senior Chemistry lecturer) and the Monash Green Chemistry class to our pilot plant on Tuesday to discuss the opportunities and challenges of advanced recycling in Australia. APR Plastics believes a collaborative approach is needed to develop the advanced recycling industry and engaging our brightest minds at Monash University is a great place to start.
