A little overdue for an update!

Between moving furniture, cleaning houses, tackling gardens and doing tip runs, the ASL Fetch team hasn't had much time to post about our Sit Ups for Strays challenge!

But the sit-ups haven't stopped!

💪 Day 12 – 600 sit-ups completed!
🐾 950 more to go!

Apparently, our usual workload wasn't enough exercise, so we thought we'd throw in 1,550 sit-ups for a good cause! 🤦‍♀️😂

We’re seeing an increase in individuals, families, seniors and people sleeping rough reaching out for food, fresh produce, toiletries and basic winter essentials.

Our supplies are moving quickly, so if you’re able to pop an extra item into your trolley, clear out a spare blanket, or donate some fresh produce, it would mean more than you know. ❤️

Fresh produce is always greatly appreciated for our hampers, outreach and community meal preparation.

Bananas, mandarins, ripe pears, melons, berries, seedless grapes, kiwifruit, potatoes, onions, carrots, pumpkin, sweet potato, broccoli, cauliflower, tomatoes, cucumbers, leafy greens and other seasonal produce.

Soft fruits are particularly helpful for people who may have difficulty eating harder foods.

🐾💪 APPARENTLY WE DON’T DO ENOUGH PHYSICAL WORK ALREADY… 💪🐾

At ASL Fetch, our days are usually spent moving furniture, carrying boxes, cleaning houses, tackling gardens, loading trailers and doing tip runs.

So naturally, we thought…

“You know what we need? MORE EXERCISE.” 🤦‍♀️😂

This October, the ASL Fetch team is taking on Sit Ups for Strays 2026, raising money for The Lost Dogs’ Home and helping lost and abandoned animals. ❤️🐶🐱

Our challenge:

💪 51 sit-ups EVERY day
📅 31 days
😳 1,581 sit-ups EACH
🐾 One increasingly sore ASL Fetch team

Apparently lugging couches, scrubbing bathrooms, pulling weeds, hauling rubbish and loading the truck doesn't count as enough of a workout. 😂

Anyone who knows us knows that animals are a big part of the ASL Fetch family, so if we're going to voluntarily torture our abs for a month, we can't think of a better reason!

Our four-legged management team will naturally be involved. Their responsibilities will include lying directly in our way, licking faces mid-sit-up and providing absolutely no practical assistance whatsoever. 🐶😂
