Now, we know many of you are coming for the āretreatā side of Hygge Notes, but music therapists, this workshop is worth its weight in gold! Every RMT should be attending this!!
If youāve ever had a great program idea but felt unsure how to make it sustainable, funded, or properly supported ā this session is for you.
Jenny Mountney brings over 25 years of experience leading community-driven family services in East Devonport, supporting hundreds of families through genuine collaboration, practical care, and creative programming. She has championed music therapy initiatives, built strong education partnerships, and understands what it really takes to respond to community needs beyond what policy documents ever capture.
Annette Rockliff brings deep leadership experience from 15 years on Devonport City Council, including serving as Mayor and overseeing the largest urban renewal project in regional Tasmania. She is a passionate advocate for women in leadership, strong governance, and long-term community impact, and knows how systems, funding pathways and decision-making truly work behind the scenes.
Together, Jenny and Annette will unpack what genuine partnership looks like in practice, how auspicing arrangements can support creative projects ethically and effectively, and how to strengthen governance so grant applications actually translate into successful, sustainable outcomes for music therapy programs.
If youāre passionate about growing community-based work, strengthening your impact, and learning how to navigate the real-world structures that support our sector, this is a conversation youāll want to be part of.
šæ Practical. Grounded. Empowering.
