I was fortunate enough late last year to be invited by the team at to come up to Bali for a few days to check out their factory, where and all the major international surf brands boards are also being manufactured. The brief was, let’s get you up for a few days to check out the set up, test some new models we are working on and surf our brains out. Didn’t take much convincing.
We also invited & from .store who are one of our premiere retail partners to join us for a ‘board meeting’ and upon arrival fresh quivers awaited to put to work in pumping waves.
Surf, eat, surf, eat, surf, beers repeat was the loose itinerary.
Was great to spend time with brand GM .dowling72 and new Chilli Surfboards collaborative shaper testing his new designs.
After numerous sessions we all agreed which new shortboard was ‘the one’ to release first and over many spicy margaritas & beers we arrived on calling Flanno’s new design the ‘Blueprint’
Fast forward a few months and the first deliveries of Blueprints are hitting stores now and the feedback from people on this model has been insanely good.
My kinda ‘work trip’ and looking forward to the next evolution with 🌶️
