ALCC – Visits His Excellency, Raymond El-Chamlati, Consul General of Lebanon.

ALCC Chairman, Mr Salim Nicolas, accompanied by Dr Joe Rizk AM, Michael Murr, and Nadia Obeid represented the ALCC, paying a visit to the Consulate of Lebanon, to welcome His Excellency, Raymond El-Chamlati on his recent appointment as Consul General of Lebanon.

The Australian Lebanese Chamber of Commerce had a meaningful discussion on various topics and emphasized the close working relationship the ALCC has with the Consulate of Lebanon, and is proud to stand by the Consul General, and is available to build on shared opportunities and support in areas which strengthen Australia and Lebanon.

On Anzac Day, we pause to honor the courage and sacrifice of all our servicemen and women who have served in times of war and peace.

In particular, we remember the proud history of the Lebanese Anzacs. From the shores of Gallipoli to the Western Front and beyond, many individuals of Lebanese descent stood alongside their fellow Australians, showing immense bravery and making the ultimate sacrifice for this country.

Their legacy is a vital part of our shared history. We remain deeply grateful for their service and will always ensure their stories are told and their memories honored.
