🚨 Potential Major Changes to Australia's Migration Program 🇦🇺

The Australian Government is expected to announce a significant migration reform package within the coming weeks, with a strong focus on reducing net overseas migration.

Key proposed changes include:

🔹 Student Visas
• Tighter rules for onshore student visa applications.
• Restrictions on international students bringing family members (with limited exceptions).
• Measures to prevent students from changing to lower-level courses (e.g. University ➝ VET).
• Further action against "visa hopping" and non-genuine student applications.

🔹 Visitor Visas
• The validity of eVisitor (Subclass 651) and Electronic Travel Authority (Subclass 601) visas may be reduced from 12 months to 6 months for many travellers from November.

🔹 Migration Enforcement
• Stronger visa compliance measures.
• More restrictions on switching visa types while in Australia.
• Regular Cabinet reviews to monitor progress in reducing migration numbers.

📌 Important: These changes have not yet been officially announced and remain proposed measures. The Government is expected to release the final details next month.

🚨 NT STATE NOMINATION 2026–27 IS NOW OPEN! 🇦🇺

Great news for skilled migrants! The Northern Territory (NT) has received 1,850 nomination places for 2026–27:

✅ 850 places – Subclass 190
✅ 1,000 places – Subclass 491
📈 200 more places than last year!

📅 Applications opened on 21 August 2026 for eligible onshore applicants and selected offshore streams.
