Today is R U OK Day, but looking after our people isn't a once a year thing at STP. It's who we are.

We've grown a lot over the years, more offices, more disciplines, more people. But we've held onto the family feel that started it all. Around 120 staff, and everyone plays a meaningful part in making good, great. That starts with looking out for each other.

Our teams across Queensland slowed down and shared a lunch, dialling in across our offices to connect and check in with each other, with Partner Leigh Stegeman addressing the company.

You never really know what someone has going on outside of work, or what they might be quietly carrying while getting through their day. Those small conversations really do matter.

R U OK Day is a reminder to ask the question.

Congratulations to the team at Paynters on the official opening of the Kirwan Community Health Campus Expansion in Townsville.

STP Consultants provided Electrical and Hydraulic engineering services on this project, working alongside Paynters to help deliver a new two storey outpatient facility along with upgrades across the existing campus.

The expanded campus now supports enhanced maternity and oral health services, additional outpatient treatment spaces and upgraded amenities and car parking, all designed to meet contemporary healthcare standards and support the growing NQ community.

A great project to have been part of, and a strong example of what our teams can deliver on a complex healthcare build. Well done to everyone involved, including Townsville Hospital and Health Service and Queensland Health.

Great to see the new Mackay Electric Vehicle and Energy Training Centre (MEVET) at CQU's Ooralea campus wrapped up and ready to go. STP delivered Civil, Hydraulic and Section J engineering on this one, working alongside Woollam and a strong group of local consultants.

The Centre will support training in light and heavy EV maintenance, EV charging infrastructure, and residential and commercial solar, a genuine investment in the skills Mackay will need in the years ahead.

Delivering a large scale industrial facility while keeping construction efficiency and long term performance front of mind was the focus for the team at Geebung Industrial Park Stage 2 in Brisbane.

STP Consultants worked alongside McNab to deliver Mechanical, Electrical and Fire engineering services across this newly completed facility, which combines a large scale warehouse with supporting office spaces.

Our scope included HVAC, power, lighting, communications and fire systems, with an emphasis on practical, well-coordinated design to support efficient construction and reliable day-to-day operation.

Construction is now complete, adding to STP's growing track record delivering quality engineering outcomes for industrial developments throughout Queensland.

STP’s Annual Trivia Night last week proved one thing, we are a competitive bunch!

The night came down to the wire, with two teams locked in a tie, forcing a dance off decider. Huge congrats to Leigh Stegeman, our Partner and Senior Civil/Structural Engineer, who pulled out the worm to clinch the win. Proof that our engineers bring plenty more than technical expertise.

We were also pleased to welcome partners along, giving everyone the chance to connect beyond the office and meet the people behind our team. Another great night delivered by the STP Social Club!
