The 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care team at Western Australian Veterinary Emergency and Specialty (WAVES) work hard, support each other, and take pride in delivering high-quality patient care. About the Role
We’re looking for compassionate, motivated Veterinary Nurses to provide high-quality care to our patients and support to our clients and team. This role is made up of 8 shifts per fortnight, predominantly afterhours. You’ll be supported by an experienced team of ECC Specialists, Veterinarians, Nurses, Animal attendants, Cleaners, Receptionists and hands-on leaders who understand the realities of afterhours work.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitoring and treating emergency and hospitalised patients
- Maintaining accurate patient records
- Working closely with veterinarians to deliver high-quality care
- Identifying and escalating patient concerns
- Supporting clients with empathy and professionalism

What We’re Looking For
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent)
- Minimum 2 years’ veterinary nursing experience
- ECC experience highly regarded but not essential
- Someone who is motivated to learn and grow
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused approach
- Availability for a rotating roster (potentially across a mix of days, evenings, nights and a fair share of weekends/public holidays)
