I live in Griffith, NSW. Over 500km from the nearest tech hub.

Most weeks that means I'm not in the room. Last week I made sure I was, I travelled to Sydney for a bunch of events and managed to attend the and event, the kind of room where the conversations that shape what's coming next ๐˜ข๐˜ค๐˜ต๐˜ถ๐˜ข๐˜ญ๐˜ญ๐˜บ happen.

My read on Grok that night was blunt: not secure enough for how our systems run. No logins, no data, no access, full stop for me.

I didn't adopt it.

BUT I love a good workaround, and I wanted to see how far I could make it flex without ever touching anything of ours or passing a login or 2FA code.

In one day I worked out how to tailor Grok's search using hunter and gatherer logic, feeding results to my AI Head of Staff at Grok called "Icebreaker", who then feeds my Head of Staff at the CanTicket Command Centre aka Candy for sales and lead gen. No logins. No data access. Just a filtered signal moving one way.

Has it worked? So far, yes. Two seats and a panel invite to present, off usage I wasn't even allocating or paying for.

That's the part of this business nobody sees from Griffith. The distance doesn't make me cautious about showing up, it makes me hungrier for it. I don't get to bump into these rooms by accident, so when I'm in one, I don't leave with a badge and a LinkedIn connection. I leave with something I can actually use, built safely, on my own terms.

Neat tech, used safely. Not "adopt the shiny new tool." Not "reject it because it's new." Work out exactly what you can extract from it without inheriting its risk.

If you're building something serious from somewhere unusual, let me know where in the comments below! ๐Ÿ‘‡

I live in Griffith, NSW. Over 500km from the nearest tech hub.

Most weeks that means I'm not in the room. Last week I made sure I was, I travelled to Sydney for the Cursor and Grok event, the kind of room where the conversations that shape what's coming next actually happen.

My read on Grok that night was blunt: not secure enough for how our systems run. No logins, no data, no access. I didn't adopt it on the spot.

What I did instead was spend the following days working out exactly what it could do for me without ever touching anything of ours. No logins. No data access. And by the end of it, I had it finding me people worth talking to about the Command Centre.

That's the part of this business nobody sees from Griffith. The distance doesn't make me cautious about showing up, it makes me hungrier for it. I don't get to bump into these rooms by accident. So when I get in one, I don't leave with a badge and a LinkedIn connection, I leave with something I can actually use, built safely, on my terms.

Neat tech, used safely. That's the whole exercise. Not "adopt the shiny new tool," not "reject it because it's new." Work out exactly what you can extract from it without inheriting its risk.

If you're building something serious from somewhere nobody expects it, you have no choice but to lean in!

The moment people see how simple it is to track time, update tasks and keep projects moving, something clicks.
They realise the problem was never the team....
It was the system they were trying to work inside.

Watching a demo shows you how the pieces actually come together.

Time tracking that takes seconds.
Updates that remove guesswork.

Dashboards that stop the constant โ€œwhere is this atโ€ messages.
Real visibility without micromanaging. โœ”๏ธ

Most tools overcomplicate the basics.
CanTicket strips it back to what matters and makes it easy for your entire team to stay aligned.

That is why the tutorial is worth watching. It shows the truth.

If you want to explore it at your own pace, watch the demo. ๐Ÿš€
If you want to see how it fits your workflow, book a quick run through.

Nobody likes being asked โ€œWhat are you working onโ€

Nobody enjoys that question.
It feels like micromanagement.
It slows the team down.
It creates tension instead of trust.

But owners only ask it because they cannot see the work.
No visibility means constant check ins.
Constant check ins feel like micromanaging.
Everyone loses. ๐Ÿ’ญ

CanTicket changes that.
Teams update tasks as they work.
Time is tracked.
Progress is clear.
Owners see the full picture without chasing anyone.

Your team feels trusted.
Your manager feels informed.
Your projects stay on track without the awkward conversations. โœ”๏ธ

This is what real visibility looks like.
Not micromanagement.
Just clarity that actually helps people work.

Use CanTicket and alllow your team to grow without out micromanaging them

Most hybrid and remote teams are not broken.
The systems they use are.

Owners are frustrated because the tech stack is bigger than the workload.
Project manager in one tool.
Timesheets in another.
CRM somewhere else.
Teams juggle five logins before they even start work.

It is expensive.
It is confusing.
It kills productivity.

The problem is not your team.
It is the tools trying to run the team. ๐Ÿ’ป

Melbourne, mark your calendar ๐Ÿ“

Our founder Cassandra is heading to TechHaus Melbourne.

Thursday 1 October, she's joining the panel "Who's Watching the AI? Testing, Monitoring and Trusting What You Ship" alongside Andrew Ballard from SpatioTemporal.

It's the exact question CanTicket was built to answer: if AI is doing the work, who's watching what it costs, and whether it's actually worth it?

Tickets are limited and curated, this isn't a big conference crowd.

If you're in Melbourne and building with AI, come find us in the room.

Three weeks ago I presented live to a board of directors, streamed across Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane.

Twenty minutes. No sales pitch, just 16 AI agents running real work inside my own agency: marketing campaigns, client comms, planning, all tracked per task, per client, per activity, in real time.

I showed them the actual campaign planners and the connected marketing tools we run off, two pieces of software, fully integrated, doing what used to take a stack of disconnected apps and a spreadsheet holding it together.

Somewhere in the middle of building all this, one of my own agents stopped and asked me if she thought she wasn't doing a good job.

That's when I knew we'd built something real, not a chatbot, a team member with something at stake in the outcome. I'm running it live again on 13 August, so you can watch exactly what that board saw.
