Unfortunately, the Bowen Mountain Park Management Committee made the difficult decision this year to cancel Christmas in the Park due to insufficient volunteers. Sadly, this is the reality for many community groups such as ours that run 100% on volunteers. If you love community based events and sporting groups please consider volunteering some time, they are all running on skeleton volunteer numbers.
We do currently have some smaller events scheduled for next year. If you would be happy to volunteer some time, please send us your email address and we will be in contact with you in the new year. We will see what the future holds 😉

1:30pm – 5:30pm at Bowen Mountain Park
in conjunction with the Spring Festival.

Members from GROSE VALE RURAL FIRE BRIGADE will discuss what to do in a bushfire emergency and practical measures you should take to reduce the hazards on your property.

We will have a dedicated education session at 3:00pm run by a senior officer, as well as BBQ, activities for the kids and further information - just ask.

‼️ATTENTION, PLEASE READ IN FULL‼️
CHANGES TO HALL HIRE
Due to an increase in hall hirers leaving the hall in a less than satisfactory state following hire, the Park Committee (BMPMC) have had to make the difficult decision to increase the hall hire bond. Hall hirers are already made aware that we do not have cleaners and when a hirer leaves the hall in an unsatisfactory state it is park volunteers, who already give soo much of their time, that have to take time away from their own work/families/lives to clean the hall so it is in a hireable state again for the next booking. Please also note that if the new bond amount is not paid 1 week prior to an event that the hall hire fee that is paid to secure your booking will be forfeited as a loss of oportunity. Once the hall has been inspected after your function and is deemed to be left in a satisfactory condition your bond amount will be returned to you. Deductions may be made from the amount for breakages and to pay a cleaner if left unsatisfactory.
