So this is my “Gumtree special” the old “works perfectly, it just has a dead battery”. Nope, abused hard! A new Craftsman unit would have cost $2899.00, this one cost;
purchase price $120
new battery $68
new mower deck level link $62
mower deck clutch pulley $12
front wheel $58

Total cost $320

Still cheaper than most gum tree ride on mowers. Still with all that it had electrical issues but with a little bit of know-how I have rectified all of them, some steering issues remain but I'm off to Metals R us to get some brass rod and machine some bushings to rectify them 👍
