"It's like an inner city oasis." was the comment today by a customer having a coffee in the Laneway. I've been slowly converting the lane into a urban green space for the past year so it was so satisfying to hear this unprompted.

Open from 6.30am Weekdays and 7am Weekends. We're dog friendly too.

OUR LANEWAY COFFEE CART IS NOW OPEN.

We've partnered up with Helios Coffee Van to covert the Parliament Laneway into Hobart's newest coffee offering that even Melbournites will be jealous of.

Open from 7am - 2pm(ish) 7 Days a week. Large range of coffees and pastries on offer. Grab and go or grab a seat in the laneway.

We also received a warning for parking over the driveway of the building that we lease. We're with Monotone Art Printers, this is pure money grabbing by the council and making it harder for small rate paying businesses to operate. City of Hobart we also refuse to pay any fines issued for the two cars we own that ]park over our driveway.

A few quick snaps of the laneway Green space conversion we’re doing here at Parliament Co-Working in Hobart.

Just been putting up some of the spider plants I’ve had growing inside The Space for the past year. They’re very tolerant to all types of weather conditions which will be needed in the laneway as it gets wind, shade, sun, rain - the whole gambit of weather conditions. Spider plants add a instant hit of cascading greenery - complementing the three trees I’ve had in the laneway since just before winter. Which are all budding and sprouting nicely.

Over the next couple of months I’ll be adding in more and more plants, understory plants, cascading plants, flowering types etc… all adding to what hopefully will become a little green oasis here in the city. :)
