World Economic Forum’s Global Gender Gap Index
You might ask how Australia's faired in the 2016 Global Gender Gap Index report. Australia's progress towards parity between men and women is anything but forward. The recent report highlights that in fact Australia's performance in this matter or lack thereof has relegated us to 46th placing! In one year we have slipped 10 positions from 36. It would appear that whilst gender balance and equity remain a hot topic and the implementation of tactics to revert this scenario continues, it has does nothing to halt the continual decline from our 15th place ranking back in 2006!
