Today is Workers' Memorial Day, a day to remember and pay tribute to those who tragically lose their lives through workplace accidents, illnesses and diseases.

Over the past five years, our Government has reformed the State's workplace safety laws, increased the number of WorkSafe inspectors, increased penalties and payouts for workplace deaths, and introduced penalties for industrial manslaughter.

Because everyone deserves to come home from a day's work safe and sound.
