“The Six.”

The Gritty Contracting team recently joined our good friends Kylie McLerie & The People & Culture Office to sit down together and have an honest conversation about what it truly means to be part of Gritty Contracting - and what that should look like to the people around us.

After plenty of discussion, laughs, coffee and snacks, we collectively defined six standards that reflect who we are, how we work and what we expect from ourselves and each other.

They are:

1. WE SHOW GRIT
2. WE WORK SAFE
3. WE DON’T STAND BACK
4. WE WORK AS ONE TEAM
5. WE DO THINGS PROPERLY
6. WE LOOK GOOD

Each standard is backed by 3 actions, which are included in each slide below.

One of the biggest highlights was seeing just how closely aligned our team’s personal values are.

It was a proud moment and a strong reminder that Gritty is built on more than skills and experience. It is built on a team of reliable, professional people who respect one another, take pride in what they do and can always be counted on to have each other’s backs.

These are our standards.

A huge shoutout to Jason, our Operations Manager, for reaching his 25th blood donation milestone 🩸🩸🩸🏅

At Gritty Contracting we’re proud to have people in our team who show up not only at work, but in the community too.

Jason’s commitment to donating blood is a reminder that small acts can make a massive difference in the lives of others. Reaching 25 donations is no small effort, and it speaks volumes about the kind of person he is - reliable, selfless, and always willing to help where he can.
