Trauma Centre of Australia

Trauma Centre of Australia TCA offers services such as Trauma and Critical Incident service with EAP, ManagerAssist, Online Cou We therefore provide a 24-hour contact service.

Our Trauma Assistance service aims to enhance your people's focus toward a positive future by helping them to develop skills that will alleviate the problems associated with the painful experience. We understand that traumatic situations can occur at any time. What is Trauma Assistance? When an accident, workplace injury, death, or robbery occurs in the workplace, most people experience emotions i

ncluding shock, confusion, pain, sorrow and anguish. Nearly everyone involved will have their thoughts consumed with the incident, making concentrating on work near impossible. Immediate Trauma Assistance can reduce the impact of the traumatic event, help speed the process of returning to normal functioning, and reduce the likelihood of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. What is Critical Incident Debriefing? Our consultants can provide support for those people needing urgent counselling or debriefing when a traumatic event has occurred. Trauma Counselling

Following a critical incident debriefing, those people identified as being particularly affected by the traumatic incident can benefit enormously from trauma counselling. A few sessions of trauma counselling can ensure minimum psychological impact and therefore minimum time off work. We also provide other services in such as:
- Online Counselling,
- Telephone Counselling,
- Educational Programs/Courses
- Drink-Driver Education Course programs
- Counselling and Assessments

APA: Coping with Death of Co-Worker

Our co-workers are very much like an extended family. We spend most of our waking hours with them, forging special bonds of trust and friendship that are unlike our other relationships.

As a result, it's not surprising that a co-worker's death can be difficult to deal with — especially if you were close to the person or if the death was unexpected. You may feel anxiety and guilt if the death occurred in the workplace or your last interaction with the person was unpleasant. And even if the co-worker's death came after a prolonged illness, you may still experience shock and depression when you hear the news.

Our co-workers are very much like extended family, so a co-worker's death can be particularly difficult to deal with. Know what to expect from the grieving process, what you can do to work through your feelings and how to get help.
